Community Playback Theatre appears publicly year-round on the first Friday of every month at Boughton Place in Highland, NY. We are fortunate to perform on the original circular stage designed by J. L. Moreno, originator of Psychodrama.
In addition to performing monthly, we have done many outreach shows over the years for organizations such as Ulster County BOCES, Dutchess County Office for the Aging, county mental health agencies, survivors of domestic violence, and other audiences who have come together around shared problems. Community Playback maintains a collegial relationship with Playback artists from this region and around the world.

Directions From the NYS Thruway: take EXIT 18. Stay RIGHT past the toll booth and turn onto Route 299 East. Follow Route 299 for about 2.8 miles to Kisor Road. After Hess Station, past car dealership on your right, Kisor Road is the first road on your right. Turn in the first driveway on the left. Parking lot is on the left past the theatre.
Directions From the Mid-Hudson Bridge: take the HIGHLAND/9W/44-55 EXIT to Route 9W north. Follow Route 9W north for about 2.5 miles to 299. Turn left at the junction of 9W and 299 (fourth traffic light), turn LEFT onto 299. Drive about 2.6 miles to KISOR ROAD turn LEFT. Turn left at first driveway on left. Parking on left past Theatre.
